Biomass Pellet Production Line Introduction

A Complete Biomass Pellet Production Line, from logs to biofuel pellets, includes main processes:

_{Chipping -  Crusing - Drying -  Pelletizing - Cooling - Packing.}

Requirements for vertical Ring Die Pellet Machine
 

Raw material: 
       a.Wood wastes: sawdust(palm, redpine, white pine, mahogany, pinus sylvestris, rubber tree),  tree branches, leaves, barks; bamboo
       b.Agricultural waste: rice hust, seeds shells, peanut shells, halm, , pineapple peel, pennisetum, wheat straw, corn stalk, hops, tobacco dross,cotton stalks, alfalfa grass, bagrass, palm fiber, waste paper, material
       c. Others: coal powder, rubber tire, plastic wastes
 

Size:
 All the raw materials must be crushed into sawdust (less than 5mm)before going into pellet mill 
 

Moisture: 
Generally, 10-15% is best for quality biomass pellets.





Main Processes

Step 1. Chipping 
 

_{Equipments: Wood Chipper / Rotary Cutting Machine}
 

_{For wood wastes,  if the material size is bigger (L*W >50*50mm), this equipment wood chipper is needed to shredder material into smaller size.}





For big size agricultural waste, such as: wheat straw bales, maize straw, it is better to use this rotary cutting machine to reduce the size firstly.





Step 2: Crushing

Wood Crusher/Hammer Mill,  to grinding wood chip or chopped straw into powder (less than 5mm).





Step3: Drying

If  material's moisture content is high, this dryer is used to reduce  moisture to 10% - 15%.





Step 4: Pelletizing

The most important equipment: pellet mill. 
To press powdered material , with proper moisture content, into pellets

Step 5: Cooling

Equipment: Cooler
Pellets out from pellet machine, the tempreture is higher than 60°C. It is necessary to cool down to room tempreture.
